Project 1- Bird Bath: Design, apply mosaic and grout a 3D bird birdbath in a weekend.
Project 2- Stepping Stone: Design and apply mosaic to cast a mosaic stepping stone using the indirect method.
Bird Bath
Day 1
Design and mosaic the inside of the bird bath using the direct method of application.
Day 2
Apply tesserae to a 3D surface for the outer part of the bird bath, grout, finish and take home- a great introduction to working on a 3D surface.
Stepping Stone
Day 1
Design and create mosaic using the indirect method.
Day 2
Complete design, learn how pre grout and cast a stepping stone.
Your stepping stone will need to be left in situ for 1 week to set. It can be collected from Farnham, or postage can be arranged.
No experience necessary, help and guidance given on every aspect of the project from design, selecting a colour pallet and appropriate materials as well as 1:1 and group demonstrations throughout the workshop.
All abilities welcome.
Suitable for age 16+
All materials, tools and equipment provided.
Refreshments including drinks, biscuits, fruit etc. provided, but please bring a packed lunch. Kitchen available with fridge/ microwave/ toaster/kettle etc.
