Blue Shard
A dazzling flash of shimmering architecture within the natural environment, lifted straight out of an urban cityscape.
This four sided Art Shard has been created by assembling hundreds of pieces of glass, ceramic and found material. Every piece has been cut and shaped to fit, some are individual pieces of art, having been fused in a kiln. Each piece has been applied by hand to compliment the shimmering faceted surfaces.
Light has a dramatic effect on this mosaic sculpture. In bright sunlight the mirrored pieces dazzle and reflect ethereal fragments of light around the garden. In moonlight, the iridescent glass comes alive.
